Stein-Erik Alvestad is a Principal Cloud Engineer at Fortytwo in Norway and holds the CISSP certification. Before joining Fortytwo, he was a Senior Cloud Solution Architect at Microsoft.
He helps organizations succeed with the cloud: moving workloads out of the data center, choosing the right mix of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, and building secure, modern platforms on Microsoft Azure. His background in operations and in delivering applications, servers and client infrastructure keeps that work grounded in what actually runs in production.
Identity and security are at the heart of what he does. He has deep, hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, zero trust, Privileged Identity Management, entitlement management, MFA, passwordless authentication, Microsoft Defender and Intune.
